This Hand Carved None cutaway Acoustic Archtop, is one of the instruments I made, that really connects deeply with my childhood memories of music and the feeling I had listening to my father playing his custom ordered Jose Ramirez III 1974 classical Spanish guitar… It is one of the reasons, I felt the calling to make that design and model in the first place. To me, there is nothing like the comfort I get from a 15.25” acoustic archtop guitar and with a cedar top. This one is even closer to the Spanish guitars than my other Concerto Models.
The Madagascar Rosewood Back & Sides, Red cedar Top and Honduran Mahogany Neck definitely enhance that natural voice a nice balanced classical guitar has, with a bit more punch, clarity, projection and that focus we refer to for the acoustics of the archtop guitars. This probably is one of the voices I like the most.
The braces are Rancourt Guitars own original design, hand carved in the top to enhance the harmonic response & complexity, to reduce loosing vibration through glued straight joints and to give a more balance natural tone and resonance to a wider frequency range throughout the top.
The result is a highly responsive instrument with a very large dynamic range and a beautiful articulate voice
